The People’s Republic of China chemistry industry standard HG/T5065-2016 “architectural coating with varnish” began to carry out in April 1, 2017, which released by the PRC ministry of industry and information technology.
In accordance with instruction, the primer, intermediate paint and finish are used in architectural interior and exterior, which has developed relevant National Standard or industry standard. The varnish has no unitive standard neithier national standard nor industry. Along with the rapid growth of demestic based-construction, the local’s requirement is that the enterprise should provide texting report when products into market. And the material can not be repeated test that leads to worsen regulative market in the key project bid invitation or product quality problems. In addition, the varnish is meeting the enterprise standard’s expectation, but the level is mixed. Some of them, whose standard items can not totally reflect product’s quality. Due to the varnish’s standard is not unite， result in quality problems in the course of coating produce or using. In order to guide better the healthy and rapid development of such products, regulate the market, decided to develop the national standard.
This standard fills out the blank of varnish, regulative performance and texting standards.
The standard is suitable for the varnish, whose main film forming material is the acrylic resin, silicone modified acrylic resin and polyurethane resin etc, auxiliary film forming agent is water and solvent. According to using, the product is divided into interior and exterior.
The exterior varnish texting performance is caught more eyes, the most important 4 items following:
1. The light transmittance (haze) used in text plate and gloss is consistent, which is coated with 150um thinkers of the varnish in 150*100*3mm gloss plate, refer to GB/T2410-2008. For many enterprises, the integral ball haze is still relatively unfamiliar instruments in the coating.
2. There is a performance requirement of acid rain resistance. The requirement is that amount of coating is achieved 1.1g/dm2±0.1 g/dm2 in 150*70*4mm cement plate without asbestos. The immersing text method refers to GB 9274-1988.
3. The performance of scrubbing resistance must reach 2000 times without broken for interior and exterior coating.
4. The artificial aging resistance’s requirement came up to 1000 hours, dusting 0, color 1 and dulling 1.
There are no requirements with gloss and contrast ratio, and other items are similar to requirements of GB/T9755-2014. During making architectural coating used in exterior varnish, the most important requirement is climate resistance, even the bad environmental climate. It is beneficial for extanding using age of exterior coating. And the effects of actural of varnish is highlighted. (To be continued)
